Abstract

The article analyzes the role of uncontrolled arterial hypertension in the development of arteriosclerosis and identifies the main contributing risk factors. It emphasizes that prolonged high blood pressure leads to morphological changes in the vascular wall, endothelial dysfunction, lipid metabolism disorders, and increased blood viscosity. Additionally, factors such as age, heredity, poor diet, physical inactivity, and stress accelerate the progression of arteriosclerosis. The study highlights the importance of effective blood pressure control and management of risk factors to prevent cardiovascular diseases
