THE DEPICTION OF NATURE IN THE WORKS OF ERKIN A’ZAM
Keywords:
nature imagery, Uzbek literature, environmental symbolismAbstract
This study investigates how nature is depicted in the literary works of Uzbek writer Erkin A’zam (b. 1950), with particular focus on motifs of landscape, environment, and seasonal imagery. Using selected texts such as “Olam yam-yashil, Pakananing oshiq ko‘ngli”, and other stories, the research analyzes how natural settings contribute to thematic depth, character psychology, and cultural meaning. Findings show that nature functions not just as background, but as an active narrative force that reinforces emotional resonance and symbolic expression. This paper employs qualitative textual analysis within the broader framework of literary ecology and Uzbek literary criticism
