Abstract

This article presents a comparative linguistic analysis of social network lexicon in English and Uzbek. The study investigates digital neologisms, their formation mechanisms, and their semantic and morphological characteristics within online communication. Particular attention is paid to the adaptation of English social media terminology into Uzbek through borrowing, translation, and the creation of hybrid lexical forms. The findings demonstrate that social media has become a significant factor in contemporary language development, while the Uzbek language preserves its grammatical structure and actively adapts to new digital realities.
