Abstract

Teaching foreign languages to elementary school students requires a pedagogical framework that accommodates their developmental needs, cognitive abilities, and learning preferences. This abstract explores various methodological approaches employed in foreign language classrooms for elementary grades, aiming to provide educators with effective strategies to enhance student engagement, linguistic proficiency, and cultural awareness. Drawing upon principles of communicative language teaching, Total Physical Response (TPR), and task-based learning, this study examines how interactive and experiential activities can facilitate language acquisition and retention among young learners. By integrating games, songs, storytelling, and role-plays into language lessons, educators create dynamic and immersive learning environments that cater to children's natural inclination for play and exploration
