HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF UZBEK LANGUAGE AS A TURKIC ROOT AND ITS MODERNIZATION

This article analyzes the historical development of the Uzbek language from its Turkic origins to its modern standardized form. It examines linguistic changes influenced by socio-political, cultural, and technological factors across different historical periods. Special attention is given to the Chagatai literary tradition, Soviet language reforms, and postindependence modernization processes. The study highlights script transformations, lexical borrowing, and language policy. The findings demonstrate that Uzbek has preserved its Turkic structural identity while adapting to global communication and modern technological demands.
