Abstract

Stroke is a collective term referring to several types of cerebral circulatory disorders: ischemic stroke (aka brain infarction), hemorrhagic stroke (cerebral hemorrhage), venous infarction, and subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding into the space between the inner and middle layer of tissue covering the brain).
