Abstract

Visual function plays a critical role in athletic performance, influencing coordination, reaction time, spatial orientation, balance, and decision-making abilities. Athletes with visual pathologies often experience reduced sports performance, increased injury risk, and psychological stress. Rehabilitation in visual pathologies among athletes has become an important interdisciplinary field integrating ophthalmology, sports medicine, physiotherapy, neurology, psychology, and rehabilitation sciences. This article examines the major types of visual disorders observed in athletes, rehabilitation approaches, diagnostic procedures, and modern therapeutic interventions. The study highlights the effectiveness of visual training, neuro-ophthalmologic rehabilitation, physical therapy, technological innovations, and psychological support in restoring visual performance and improving athletic outcomes
