THE IMPORTANCE OF THE PROJECT-BASED APPROACH IN THE EFL TEACHING PROCESS

The article deals with the significance of implementing a project-based approach in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teaching. Through a review of relevant literature and practical examples, the authors highlight the benefits of incorporating project-based learning (PBL) methodologies into EFL classrooms. They discuss how PBL fosters student engagement, autonomy, and critical thinking skills by providing opportunities for collaborative, hands-on learning experiences. Additionally, the article examines how projectbased activities enhance language acquisition and proficiency by contextualizing language use within meaningful, real-world tasks. Furthermore, the authors address the alignment of PBL with communicative language teaching principles and its effectiveness in promoting language fluency, accuracy, and confidence among learners
