DAMAGE TO THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM IN MDR PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS
Keywords:
MDR tuberculosis, central nervous system, neuroimagingAbstract
MDR pulmonary tuberculosis is characterized by a severe and progressive course, accompanied by the development of severe systemic disorders affecting not only the respiratory system, but also the central nervous system. Chronic hypoxia, long-term intoxication, immune-inflammatory reactions and vascular disorders contribute to the formation of structural changes in the brain, which can further deepen with the spread of the tuberculosis process in the lungs. The results of the study showed a close relationship between the degree of lung damage in MDR pulmonary tuberculosis and the severity of neuroimaging changes in the brain
