Abstract

This article presents a comparative analysis of the linguocognitive features of aspectual semantics in narrative texts in English and Uzbek. The main aim of the study is to determine how aspectual meanings expressing the duration, completion, repetitiveness, and boundedness of events are conceptualized within language and cognition. The research examines perfective and imperfective aspects, the categories of progressivity and iterativity, as well as the role of verbs in aspectual semantics.
